Several stories about Herman, USA besides the one below are on this web site. Here are links to all of them: The following information appeared in Herman's weekly newspaper, The Herman Review, Thursday, April 5, 2001. Last minute information for people going to see Herman, USA by Nick Ripperger Here are some last-minute things people might want to know if they're going to see the movie Herman, USA in Minneapolis Friday evening. The movie shows once at 7:30 p.m at the Historic State Theatre which is on the 800 block of Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. Everyone who signed up for free tickets will get them. They can be picked up that evening at the University Film Society table which will be set up in the theater lobby. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m. The Review will fax a list of the people to producer Jeff Hohman, who will arrange to have the tickets available. When you go to the table, tell them your name and how many tickets you signed up for. If you did not sign up for a ticket, but end up going, they will be on sale at the U Film table for $10 apiece. This is $2 less than at the regular box office. Anyone who has a ticket will also be able to attend a party/reception at the Harmony Box after the show. That is located at 1414 Marshall St. NE in Minneapolis. If you want to go, ask for directions at the U Film table. Not enough interest was shown to take a bus to the movie, so those who signed up for the bus should consider catching a ride with someone else if they don't want to drive. Word has it that the "real" Herman people will be recognized in some way, probably after the show. Be prepared for a little publicity. As part of the same film festival, the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Film Festival, Herman, USA also will be shown on Saturday, April 7, at 7:15 p.m. at the Galtier Plaza Cinema in St. Paul. The address is 175 E. 5th St. Enjoy the movie and the evening! Back to Herman home page |
