The Herman-Norcross School The Herman and Norcross area maintains its own K-12 School. The school is a small school with a low teacher to student ratio, lots of individual attention, and a commitment that no child will "fall through the cracks." It realizes that mission by working with students and parents to develop an Individual Learning Plan for each student. That plan guides students, teachers, and parents to high achievement. The school's staff has a high level of education and experience, and the school has a high level of technology equipment and expertise. Although small, the school offers a full program that prepares students at a high level for college, technical school, or work, including three college-level classes. Its students perform at high levels on state and other standardized tests. The school offers a full sports program, sponsoring teams with Chokio-Alberta and Wheaton. For football, volleyball, and softball, they are paired with Chokio-Alberta, making the Spartans and the Titans. For wrestlling, basketball, golf, baseball, and track, they are paired with Wheaton, making the Warriors and Bullets. It also has other extracurricular programs: band, choir, speech (a majority of students take part with a high degree of success), FCCLA, Knowledge Bowl, etc. Here is a link to the school's web site, also updated and ran by me.
